He’s brilliant. I got bitten by the grafting bug last year... had no clue what I was doing but watched a few videos on RUclips about it and decided to just leap in. To my surprise, 8 grafted trees took (4 didn’t) so now I’m stooling the rootstocks that didn’t and hellbent on filling up an acre with fruit trees. (Apples, pears, plums, gages, pears, cherry... all kinds) Any tips on some must have varieties?

Fascinating! I had no idea that Hawthorn and blackthorn could be grafted onto. I’m gonna have a lot of fun with that... got lots of both in my hedges 😁

Hi, after watching this I t-budded my plum tree. After wrapping with parafilm, I noticed you didn’t cover the whole t bud and left the petiole exposed. Do I leave exposed the very small bud leaves just above the petiole please? Some people say to completely cover the whole bud and some say after wrapping with parafilm to cover using tin foil ? Regards Mark

Excellent video. Brilliant. My friend is an ex nurse, it is thanks to her I am now Asthma free. She is very anti chemical meds because of the side effects. I am Asthma free thanks to her and organic fruit and veg. Keep up the good work. And I cannot wait for spring, so I can get my other half to buy some of your wonderful organic trees.

Bravo. I have shared on my Organic Gardening Foraging Club on Facebook. Having cured my Asthma with organic fruit, veg and wild herbs. I would like to connect and support British Organic Fruit and Veg Farmers. Currently, my friend (ex nurse) is preparing a Witness Statement for me to give to my GP and MP. This letter will state very clearly how sick I was before I changed my diet. And how allergic I was to her two dogs. LET (ORGANIC) FOOD BE THY MEDICINE! Please do join my Gardening Group and share your knowledge. I shall make sure to share your website. Thank you.

Thanks for the Video clip! Apologies for butting in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you heard about - Lammywalness Green Grapes Guide (probably on Google)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning how to become a successful grape grower minus the hard work. Ive heard some super things about it and my mate at very last got cool results with it.

Hi Ian, I never get tired of your videos. I've always understood the reason for leaving side shoots on a young tree that is to become a standard, is to simply feed the trunk. It definitely works. As a kid growing my first trees for bonsai I'd snip all the side shoots off until the hight was reached where I wanted the tree to bush out. I'd have to stake them or they'd break in a slightest breeze and would take years to thicken up. Diolch yn fawr.

Hi, thank you for this. I would like to ask you if training a damson tree would be the same as an apple tree. It is in its second year and is rapidly growing. It is on an allotment and we are only allowed 8ft height. How can I train this so the branches come outwards. Tying it to steaks etc. I want to cut the height down to a manageable height so I can reach the fruit. Have you any advice or links for me to follow. Thanks, you have been so helpful with the video.
